I met Doris today waiting for Joy to get off work. I stopped in to get a cappuccino and check my email on their free wifi in the heart of downtown Vancouver Washington. Encased in glass The Java House is located on the corner of Evergreen and Columbia. Just 3 and a half blocks from the Vancouver Saturday Market. The establishment is clean, the service friendly and accommodating. The cappuccinos are wonderful and frothy. It should be. They have been around now for seventeen years! That is a long time. Who is Doris? Not only a barrista, but she is also the sister of the owner. They have the right formula to keep a coffee house open. Stop in. Seriously.
